Time is tickin’

The countdown is on! As my little sweetheart Zaden grows more and more impatient for Santa to arrive, I can’t help but to think back to my own Christmases when I was a little girl! My parents did all they could to make Christmas so special. I have the best memories. In return, I always worked so hard to make sure I gave my children the best Christmas and memories. Its funny, as I get older I think to myself, is the “best” Christmas and memories from how many gifts are under the tree? Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing better than seeing your child run to the tree and rip into their gifts with such happiness and excitement! But, this year we have really stopped to think of what the TRUE meaning of Christmas is. What should we actually fill our kids hearts and minds with? How about adopting a family or child. How about giving up a couple of gifts so that you could help someone else in need? A kind gesture, a more patient attitude, a phone call or text just to say I love you! The TRUE meaning of Christmas is not what’s under the tree, but perhaps more so what’s in your heart and what you have done to make someone else’s Christmas a little brighter. Remembering my friends and family who are spending another Christmas without their loved ones or perhaps the first Christmas without their loved one. Know that you are not alone. Sending you all my love and strength❤️
